Made reservations with this campground on the phone for an end of season fall trip. Office was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Black Forest back in site. Lots of room between sites, level site & all hookups in good condition. Wi-Fi and cell were good. This was at end of season ( last week of October) very quite except for the sound of the Downeaster Amtrak Horne once in a while. Fire ring and table at site. E-bike friendly. Didn’t use restrooms but looked to be clean and in good working order. End of October so no pool and hot tub as expected. Not uncommon for snow this time of year. We road our bikes around the entire campground and found it to be in good order, we’ll maintained, and very clean. Will make this a definite return and bring friends also for another quite fall trip.

This is a new campground (2021 ?) the layout is like an outside lecture hall. Not a bad seat in the house with a view of west bay. The sites are fairly level on a crushed stone base. The site to your port and starboard are not on top of you. The sites in front of you are below and behind site are above. Big rig friendly. Very quite and dark at night. No playground so not a family with kids type of location. Owners are one site and very approachable with lots of good information. During the summer we found the best way to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia NP is via the Winter Harbor ferry. Also Schoodic peninsula, part of Acadia NP is easily accessible and less crowded. If big crowds and traffic jams are not your thing, then this is the perfect jumping off base for you down east vacation.
