Feels inexpensive. An odd mix of amenities:
Yes: microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, kitchen sink, card key electronic locks, temperature-settable HVAC unit, flat screen tv, card key badges you in from outside (which is more secure).
No: flatware, pots, pans, dishes, toilet paper beyond the first roll (That’s right; I was told at registration, “We do not replenish toilet paper.”).
Front desk has very limited hours, so be careful to ensure your schedule aligns so you can check in and out. Don’t arrive after 16:00!
I enjoyed a relaxing stay with no fear of maids invading the room, because you have to stay at least a week before they provide maid service.
There is a long list of rules, some inexplicable (no bare feet in halls, no sunbathing). Fear not; I had no problems with footwear choice.
Terrific recreations of places of important events in the history of the Waldensians. Covers just under 1000 years of history. Well worth the stop. Allow 2 hours or so, if you like to read everything.
Consists only of offices & private studios. Nothing to see or walk through for the visitor who doesn't already have business there.
Don't count on breakfast—they claimed others ate it all the first morning, and the second morning there were mini donuts and cereal; no juices, no bagels. Wifi uses login screen and is very unreliable; it requires multiple connection attempts, cycling wifi off and on on your device, and then will disconnect you every 30 minutes, so you have to go through the whole process again. Loud banging (like construction) extended late into night. Price was over $200 for 2 nights as one night was Friday of Labor Day weekend. They did refresh the linens after one night of 2 night stay—the only positive of the stay. Not recommended.
Comfortable stay in a clean room. Soft firm mattress, friendly staff, and the best wifi I've had in a hotel. There is a sign on the door saying shirt & shoes required in the lobby, but I had no problem barefoot.
