FOR THE KIDS! We stumbled across this place on our way from Montana via interstate 90 headed for Minneapolis, Minnesota! We wanted something inexpensive, but clean enough to give us a place to refresh while still making it fun for our young children. Our 8 year old LOVED the water park! We arrived at 8pm, and thankfully, the pool was opened until 10pm for children, then 10pm-11pm for adults only! Husband won a little money playing in the small casino, and we ordered food from the Ramada's restaurant and it actually was very edible and good enough to satisfy!
This place would be a nice oasis especially during the cold season, but in the summer, because the pool is most likely heated, and also creates humidity, the hallways of the hotel felt a bit muggy and warm. However, in the hotel room, it was perfectly chilly when using the a/c!
Breakfast is included in the price of the room, and is from 7am to 11am. We haven't experienced it yet (writing this before going to bed; we check out early tomorrow morning), but it was a bonus for us selecting this hotel, knowing breakfast is included!
Now if you aren't a family with young children or a family that has children and also loves swimming, then this is a definite 4/5 star hotel. However, if you're not and you're looking for a close-to-perfect hotel experience, it's a good 3.5/5 star hotel. It's average if you're not into the pool fun, but above average if you have kids that love to swim, especially a pool with cool slides and a pirate ship scene!
