Loved this place! Great visitor center inside and the ladies there were so sweet! Free coffee and they'll take your picture for you. Definitely worth the stop and bonus that it was in Cars!
This is a must stop for everyone. There is a ton of hiking (unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to see the lighthouse) which includes longer hikes and also some short ones. The road also winds through the canyon which makes it accessible for all. It is worth the drive south of Amarillo!
We didn't have a lot of time to stay but will definitely be back for the camping, hiking, and of course, sledding down the dunes. The visitor center is very well done and the Rangers were helpful and friendly. I can't believe I've never heard of this place until recently!
Just off of the main drag. This is worth it for a quick photo! Very interesting and creative in its own right.
