Plan on spending at least 15-20 minutes checking this place out. There is a lot to see here and it is fairly spread out. You see a lot of his quotes from different periods of his presidency. The part that struck me the most was a scene where you see people standing outside of a small building waiting in line, probably hoping to get some food, as this scene was taken from the time of The Great Depression.

Very somber and moving place. I came out here during the day and overheard one of the tour guides say that this place looks way different at night. He was saying that the way the lights are set up there and the way the shine on the figures causes their shadow to reflect on the marble wall in a way that he described as ghostly. I only wish I had time to come back and check this place out after sunset.

This is one of those places that you should check out if you have time. It's cool, but definitely not on the must see list. Every single man who signed the Declaration Of Independence is listed here with his signature engraved on a marble slab. I recognized a few of the names (Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock), but most of the them were just names.

I feel like I am repeating myself when I say "you have got to see this place", but you really do. There is a marble slab that says "Here we mark the price of freedom". There are states and countries named that have been allies to America and its really cool that they are honored in addition to the American troops who have served our country.

Make sure to visit here when you are in DC. This place is eye-opening and really makes you appreciate the great sacrifice that our military men and women have given in order to make our country what it is. Make sure to visit the Tomb Of The Unknown when you come here. I didn't make it to the Eternal Flame, which is JFK's grave site, and that may be somewhere you'd want to visit too. Also worth mentioning too is that this place is huge so make sure you are wearing comfortable walking shoes.

This was my first visiting here. I'd heard so much about this cemetery and have seen it featured in movies multiple times. Everyone says you have to come here and see the changing of the guards. I decided to stick around and watch the routine, which happens at the top of the hour in the fall and winter, and every half hour during the spring and summer months. When the staff sergeant comes out with the oncoming guard, he makes an announcement describing the process. Silence is required when coming so remember to put your phone on silent so that you aren't that guy.

Good place to come out to. I only took about 15-20 minutes out here because I had so much else to see, but you could easily spend an hour or two out here as there a number of trailheads as well as the memorial in the center of the island, with a lot to see. Thanks Teddy for starting our National Park system.

As the grandson of 2 military veterans, this monument here is so touching for me to see. It's an image most people have probably seen at sometime in their life, but you don't realize how big it is until you actually see it in real life. Much respect to the men and women of our armed forces. Thank you for the jobs you do and risking your lives every single day for our country!

Very very cool place to see. Besides the giant sculpture of MLK, there are his quotes from different speeches carved into the walls around the area. This is definitely worth seeing.

I remember everything about 9/11 and the day that it happened. This memorial here is very cool and done in such a respectful way. They do allow photography here even thought the rest of the property it is prohibited. Definitely worth stopping be here.
