Amazing views and trails. There are 2 steeper slopes to climb, but we saw a lot of families with kids. Would just advise to have a good pair of hiking shoes! We drove there 2 times from Brooklyn (2 hours drive if traffic is all good). Go there early if you want to feel alone. People start coming there around 9. The parking lot isn't that big so it's full quite quickly.

Also, check your trails in advance, we somehow managed to get "lost" today and had to come back on our steps.

Also, our GPS got the wrong place for the parking, so make sure your energy the right address/coords.

Amazing views on Brooklyn, Manhattan, Jersey city and New York bay. Very quiet on a Saturday morning (May). Take your car and park straight above the fort. Plenty of parking lots everywhere. May be confusing though because many roads are barred.

Breathtaking views! Definitely worth to swing by.
We needed a place to escape the craziness of New York, just for a day.
I didn't expect much from this park at first (the only picture I checked before going was the one of the pond with the monument behind). I was so wrong!
It turns out that High Point is the highest point (no pun) in the New Jersey (according to the boards). You have a 360 view on the whole area, wood, valleys, Ski trails (white things on the pictures), and so forth.

If you don't have much time, there is a parking right next to the Monument. Follow the signs!

Enjoy :)
