The treetops are blazing with colors! This site is electric only. There is potable water at the dump station but it will soon be turned off for the winter. There is a laundry room (a first for me in a State Park) but it too is closed for the winter.
Back-in sites are fairly level but some have steep drop offs on either side. All have picnic tables and fire rings.

Our site was located on the banks of Clear Creek and had a very private sandy beach for us to sit in our camping chairs near the water. Beautiful, tall trees surrounded our campsite. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Occasionally an ATV would go through the campground creating a little noise and dust, but it wasn't bad. It certainly wouldn't deter me from staying again. The campground is located near the Cloud Peak Skyway, a scenic byway that is worth seeing. The campground does have vault toilets, drinking water, and trash cans. I didn't visit the vault toilets but the campground was very clean and well maintained.

A Clean and Safe Stop for the night. The RV park is associated with the Big Texan Steakhouse where you can enter a contest to eat a 72 ounce steak with all the trimmings within 1 hour and your meal is free! They have shuttles to the restaurant from the park and you're driven there in a cadillac that has longhorns mounted to the hood. The RV park is very clean and well maintained. Lots of pull through spaces on gravel. Our friends had 2 miniature dachshunds with them and they have a nice dog park but could not set up a small fence next to their rig, so that was a negative for them but we were there for 1 night.
