Although it’s small, the experience is huge. Didn’t take long, but I was so moved by the experience. I didn’t pay for a guided tour, but one was coming along while I was there, so I got to hear more details. Worth the money, worth the time, worth every moment to not forget history.

Went at sunset. It was majestic! The welcome center was quaint, insightful and had beautiful gifts. Take a step outside on the balcony, I got great pictures. Took a quick trip into the park, but as there are no lights in the park, they ask you not to travel in after sunset. A place I will come back to when I have more time.

Beautiful spot. Late November, so not swimming weather so much. Beautiful to just walk around and eat lunch. Worth the stop for sure

This was so much more than just a cross in the middle of the field. They have the stations of the cross, a depiction of the last supper, and the crucifixion. This was the most unbelievable find. For believers in Christ, this is a must see stop on your trip.

As a team I watch these events unfold on television. But to go to the museum struck me deep. It was amazing to see the wealth of information provided in the museum. There are displays, videos and artifacts not only surrounding the event, and personal items and information about the aftermath. Then you go outside, And there is the amazing installation of chairs for each victim and bookending the chairs are two walls displaying the minute before and after the bomb (with a water installation in between them). I was in awe. We should never forget!

Bright sunny day. It was incredibly busy with families an a ton of photographers taking family pictures. That was the annoying part was having to get around all the photographers. But other than that the place is gorgeous, well-maintained, and enjoyable. Even if you’re not a fan or have never seen “gone with the wind”, stop here. And take the road down further to get a look at the lake the mill pours into. Beautiful

Wish I had days!!!!!
I made a quick stop here, for mid-November you could smell the roses as you walked into the garden area. Although many of the flowers are long past their prime, the entire place was still breathtaking.
Can’t wait to come back in the springtime when everything is in bloom. Saw I could walk to the zoo as well. Just peaceful, serene and perfect. Seriously, save hours to walk the grounds, you’ll thank me for it!
