Not much to choose from on this part of the 5 freeway. Stopped for the night. Clean bathrooms but doors to street left open so zero security. No gate or security for the park either. No attendant overnight. No Wi-Fi. Not noisy despite being close to the freeway. Adequate for what it is. It looks like they are trying to plant hedges and make it nicer. Pull throughs make it easy for an overnight. I Dont have KOA membership so it’s pricey for what it is.

We prefer camping a bit more primitively but it was cold and damp and we needed power. This place has full hook up sites all separated by hedges and some are very private and a long way from the awful parking lot style of many RV parks. There was a camp table and fire pit too - though not set up with a grill for cooking. Despite the high quality of the sites, the bathrooms were a disappointment - very cold and quarters don't last very long. It was quiet though and clean and I would stay here again. Fort Bragg is nothing special but there is a great organic grocery store right next to Pomo called Harvester.

The campsites in the State Park were closed and so we used this place because of its great location. It is a bit scruffy all round and needs some more cleanup work. Trash was left in sites and there was very little separation between sites. It is a strange mix of a rustic campsite and an RV park so we had power and water and a fire pit to cook in. The real positive was the bathrooms which had underfloor heating and were warm and clean. Very quiet at night and right next to the river. The staff were all very nice and it was quiet at night. Nearest decent grocery store was south in Miranda.

Definitely can hear noise from the freeway but a great overnight to visit the caves there. Nice trails and pretty sites. The water and toilets were down when we stayed so there was no drinking water and only portapotties and so it wasn’t as good as it could have been.

A beautiful quiet place in the woods with sites well-spaced and good for tents and trailers. We camped in a small trailer for one night. The bathrooms were not heated but the showers were hot. Some nice hikes nearby.

Clean and quiet. Nice sites under trees. Campfire and wood on request. Excellent WiFi. Check in great and staff very helpful with maps and recommendations for hikes. Trails from park. 35 minutes drive to Crater Lake and walking distance from Prospect. Great food and cocktails at the quaint Prospect Dinner House.
