Pretty cool place! Sadly, there was a rock slide and they have the walk closed so we couldn't go up to see it. They are working on stabilizing the pillar to maintain the writing. There is still a nice trail to walk with board explaining Lewis and Clark's time there. I hope it opens up and I can see it up close one day! Aug 2020
Looks like would be really cool! We got there at 6:30 pm and everything was closed though. The directions on this app are useless, it is a little way away from the freeway and the app just says it is right there and doesn't even tell you an exit number. There is a lot more then the statue! There is a little town called Jamestown that is a westerner themed place, there are love Buffalo you can feed when it's open! I hope I come around this area again one day and can see it when its open!
