This was a phenomenal spot for camping! Stunning views and very easy to find and access. The only downside is many of the pullouts are not very level, which isn’t really a problem as long as you don’t mind a slight tilt. It is posted that campfires are not allowed which was a slight bummer as we were planning on cooking over the fire, but with the cold weather we were more than happy to sit in the warmth of our RV and cook inside. Very clean and spacious sites. Far enough from any roads that it was super quiet. The only thing you will hear is the occasional neighbor driving past your site.

Nice campground that is easy to access. We were camping during off season in March and spent a good amount of time calling campgrounds to see who was open when we found this one. The gentleman we talked to explained they allowed campers to come in and drop their fee in the drop box to stay during off season and explained that they only had electricity on. That was perfect for us so we headed over. When we got there we were very confused with the registration paperwork. We had verified the rate and that we could pay cash on the phone but when we got there the rates listed on the drop box didn’t match what we were told and the registration form asked for credit card information and payment. In the end we wrote on the registration that we were paying cash and dropped the cash fee and form into a ziplock and dropped it into the lock box. The sites were nice gravel sites that were level, easy to pull through and spacious. It was pretty quiet and we heard light highway noise but could imagine in the summer with the highways being busier the noise would be much worse. Overall a very nice and clean place to stay!

Cute campground with beautiful lake views. Has a nice walking path around the lake and campground, as well as two docks, one fishing and one boating. Easy access to Chicago and we were able to easily get a Lyft to the city for a day of exploring. The site we were in was uneven enough that we couldn’t get level with our jacks. Fairly quiet as well, you could hear trains in the distance and could hear planes coming into Chicago pretty clearly. But overall noise was not terrible.

Nice campground to stay at. They make check in nice and easy at any time of day with someone stationed at the main gate 24/7. The campground was well maintained, clean and it was easy to find your site. They allow check out at 2:00 pm as well which allowed us time to hike a couple different hikes before jumping back on the road to hit different areas of the park that weren’t accessible from the campground. There was a little noise and you could hear trains in the distance but nothing close enough to interrupt sleep.

This was a great place to stay! It was fairly close to St. Louis and we were able to catch an Uber into the city to explore. Our driver did warn us that usually it takes Uber or Lift drivers 20-30 minutes to get to you, we just got lucky that he was dropping people off at the nearby 6 flags which is why he showed up within 5 minutes. Nice wide open camp and sites are level and well maintained. Very clean and the staff is super friendly! There is quite a bit of noise with the highway nearby and a very active train track just across the street. We were towards the back of the lot away from the tracks and could still hear the train clear as day. We were thankful we didn’t get a spot towards the front which is right next to both the highway and the track.

Easy access and nice KOA. The staff was very friendly and were very helpful in answering the many questions we had as we were booking. We were a bit disappointed with the noise as it is close to a train track and the highway, and the noise carries. The site was also not very level which posed an issue for our rig, but may not for others. The laundry room was accessible 24 hours a day and was a huge benefit for us as we were coming in late and still needed to do some laundry before we left the next morning.

Nice KOA to stay at. Easy to find and access. Clean sites and friendly staff. It is close to the highway and train tracks which did make it on the noisier side.

Nice place to stay near Moab and was very clean. Is easy to access and is quite spacious. Is probably quieter the farther you go in, but we were a 1/4 mile from the highway and could hear traffic and trains very well.

A wide-open, beautiful place to stay on BLM land near Moab. Very quiet and easy to access. There were some premade fire pits which were nice, but unfortunately we had to do quite a bit of cleaning before we could even start a fire due to large amounts of cans and glass bottles being broken up, burnt and left in the fire pit. We chose the cleanest pit in the area we stayed and still shoveled a mound of garbage out of it before we could use the pit.

Great area to camp for free, and pretty close to Capital Reef National Park. Very open and well maintained. Towards the entrance there is a lot of garbage and broken glass, but the farther you go back the better the views get and the cleaner the sites get. There is plenty of space and is a quiet place to enjoy the stunning views.
