It’s very nice to stroll the wide level path along the River , level concrete pull through lot 89 , showers well kept and within easy walking distance , playground , dog park, pool , laundry. Very well maintained , love the large trees for shade. We would stop here again.
Loved it, very pretty area, campground was easy to get in and out of. We camped in acorn lot 9, burn ban so no campfires. Walked to the dam it was very pretty. Everything is well marked. Road in was newly paved, highway 259 newly paved in a lot of areas . We would stay again.
No swimming, no boats etc due to dam bank fishing only.
Very pretty, great museum, gift shop, nature info area. Bathrooms clean, road newly paved. We stayed at rv site acorn 9 , nice view , easy in and out. Walked to the dam, the siren is LOUD , wouldn’t want to arrive in the dark for the first time. Very curvy road. We had no problems with map.
Great spot to spend the night. Quiet and relaxing. Got some great sunset pictures , full service hook up.
We only need a night - great price - gravel lot.
Right off of interstate 40 in Alanreed Tx.
Nice owners.
