This was the best part of our trip and we came upon it as we were driving down Highway 101. It wasn't part of our initial trip however it is definitely the most beautiful hike I have ever taken. We pulled off at the first trail head and took about a 1.7 mile hike through the dense Oregon forest into a golden meadow overlooking the ocean. Keep following the trail though - we went to the edge of the cliff and was able to see whales and sea lions in the cove below. So breathtaking was the view that it left me speechless with tears in my eyes. God's creation at it's most magnificent!!

This was one of the highlights of our trip! Lots of ocean stuff in this quaint little building. We actually went on the whale watching tour and it was breathtaking! They got us pretty up close and the staff really knew their whales. A must do!!

Nice little motel. We stayed in the only room that had not yet been remodeled and it was still nice. Only a block from the beach but had to walk several blocks to get the access point to get on the beach. The management was great. I came down with a headache and they gave me ibuprofen so I didn't have to leave the motel late in the evening.

This was amazing! One of the top 3 favorites of our trip down the coast. The sand, the view from the sand dune hills, oh and the ship wreck! Be sure to take the time to see how far down the beach the ship actually is. AMAZING!

The view at the top of the narrow spiral staircase of 164 stairs is absolutely breathtaking. Lots of wind!
