Beautiful, tranquil location. Nice bonus to have a lit fishing pier in the park. They are currently fighting off an infestation of argentine ants- you’ll need to treat everything that touches the ground with an ant bait/poison to keep them away. The ants don’t bite, but they are aggressive and it’s important to halt their spread.
Such potential, nestled in the woods on a hillside, but there are maintenance issues. We stayed in a pull-thru 50a/w/s at the top of the hill so we had easy access, but some of the slots looked tricky to navigate. The location was beautiful, but spoiled by multiple permanent trailers in absolute disrepair (as in no wheels, and accumulated debris). Cell signal (AT&T) was excellent at 3-4 bars, but no WiFi at our slot. Bottom line- it’s an okay spot in a pinch, but best bet is just to go a couple miles further to Horseshoe Bend.
We’d happily stay here again. They have a wide selection of lots and hookups with onsite management. We stayed on a gravel back-in slot with 50a/s/w that was about 3 degrees off level side to side, but very manageable. They also have premium concrete slots and pull-thrus along with 30a and more primitive spots.
A downside is that the lake does not seem to reachable by trail from the camp ground, but a very short nice drive within the park to multiple access are available. A smaller pond is also onsite away from the campground.
This is a little gem! A small RV Park with 24 slots, but lots of charm. We stayed in a clean, level, 50a/s/w pull-thru. Includes trails to secluded Onapa Lake, which is great for kayaking and fishing. Horseshoes, volleyball, swimming pool, and more activities are on site, and of course, it’s near massive Lake Eufaula. Cost was very reasonable and the owners live on site. Would definitely stay again. Our wishes include better WiFi (cell service was one or two bars on AT&T but still better than the provided WiFi) and an online booking system.
