This campground is literally on the river. Our campsite had maybe a 5 foot rock embankment to the river. Was awesome to sit there and watch the water flow (which was really flowing). Couldn't fish, water too swift. Bring bug spray, the mosquitos were persistent. The petroglyphs were a nice deterrent and was glad there was something else there to see.

Awesome scenery! The view of Glenwood Springs is spectacular. The hike was something once you got off the first gravel road. My husband, who is disabled had our 11 week old puppy, and they had to take their time. Plus it was 95 degrees. But once we got to the cemetery, it was more than I thought. Didn't realize it was a whole Potter's Field. We enjoyed walking around looking at the different gravesites before we headed back down the hill. There are two entrances, we took the one off of 11th street. Not sure where the other entrance is, but a nice neighbor of the trailhead said the other way had other views and a wishing well.
