Having read other reviews about the homeowner(s) reactions and for the sake of their privacy/property we only sought out the house for a quick gander and photo opp as we drove by. We stopped at the STOP sign in front of the house, took a shot from the car, turned left in front of the house, took a few more and went about our way. The home owners were home as the garage door was raised but we did not see anyone outside. We weren't interested in getting out of the car to take our photo in front of the house, but being fans of the show we wanted to say we saw it. And we did. If you are in ABQ and are a fan of BB then definitely stop by for a quick pic, but leave the homeowners be.
If you are driving through Amarillo this is a MUST see! Super eclectic, great fun for all and cool photos. We stopped by today and fortunately knew to take extra shoes based on previous reviews. It was a 1/4 mile walk from parking area in super slick mud that cakes and sticks to your shoes like nothing you've ever seen. Totally worth the trouble of getting an old pair of shoes muddy and the kid's clothes, too. The mud made it more of an adventure and something the kids will remember for years to come. Cool piece of Americana. Don't pass it by!
