The photo was not taken at the RRSRA. The state recreation area is situated on a Greenway with a tree-lined view of the Red River of the North, one of the few rivers in the world that flows north.

The campground has 98 full-service sites with 30/50 amp electricity, water, and sewer along with 8 rustic sites and 3 electrical only sites. In addition the park offers 4 walk-in sites and a fishing pier.

Many of the sites are pull-through sites with pads between 60 and 90 feet long making it easy for big rigs to come and go. It is in a handy location just off of Hwy 2. Great for one night stops, a weekend, or a week.

Reservations are recommended. Call 1-866-857-2757 for the MN State Park hot line. Weekday travelers may not need a reservation but if you are coming for the weekend you will want one.

Vehicle permits are required but very affordable.
