Wonderful place to visit for a few hours. The remaining mounds are impressive, and the park is improving the steps up Mound B and will be replacing the structure atop it with a more authentic recreation. The museum is amazing- the quality of the artifacts on display is outstanding. Nice coffee shop and gift store. We didn't check out the campground, but its there if you want to camp. The park team has special events planned during the year- check out their website for more info.

Great for a quick visit, and fun to surface collect fossils. We found crinoids and a couple of brachiopods. Plan for sun- the only shade is a tarp over a couple of picnic tables. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. It's essentially undeveloped, so don't expect amenities. There was a portable toilet in the parking area.
