The magnificence of these ancient trees is so much greater in real life than photos can convey--though their size alone is truly breathtaking. Even dead and uprooted, the trunk is as big as a garage for our car. To think that the trees have been there for millennia is a most humbling thought, and a reassuring one. There is no question that man is not so powerful, when, thank God, mere trees outlive his foolishness. In my opinion, these trees are a must see-- if not here, at least somewhere along the way.
