Lovely park shows a different side of Florida
Rolling sand dunes and pinewood forest border the Gulf of Mexico on this peaceful barrier island park. Nice campground with water and electricity, restrooms, showers. Campsites are a short walk to the Gulf, close enough to hear the waves crashing on the beach. Miles of beach access and a peaceful nature trail that meanders through the woods. Firewood and ice available for purchase from camp hosts. Dogs welcome, but not on beach. Several restaurants, convenience stores and beach gear rental companies on the island, just a few miles away. Bring your bike, nice paved roads in park, and bike path from park to stores.
