Beautiful home! Got out and took photos. Others said he no longer lives there, but his son does.
Tried whole belly clams, and mom got the strips. Both were greasy, bags were saturated. Tarter sauce and cocktail sauce were both excellent.
Beautiful pastries, whoopie pies, and deserts. Great coffee too!
Adorable motel. We had room 112 in the third building in. The place has numerous buildings sprawled out, each with four units/rooms. Keeps the noise down from neighbors! :-)
The staff was super nice when checking in, and very helpful with all my questions about the area.
The have a heated pool on-site, which to my surprise, was so open near the end of September!
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juice available in the lobby until 10pm. Continental breakfast in the morning too.
Beds are comfy, with lots of pillows. Room is squeaky clean with a fridge and mini coffee maker. Two comfy chairs, along with a desk for the laptop.
Grounds are lovely, saw deer walking around on my way to the trail that leads into Acadia right from the motel property.
Location is along the main drag into the town of Bar Harbor, along with many others, but I'm happy I chose this one.

Grotto is beautiful, but crumbling.
Stations of the cross - unbelievably each had a fragment from Jerusalem, but all but two were broken out and missing.
The trail through the woods had fallen trees across it in some spots. Wish I lived closer to volunteer.
The church inside was gorgeous.
Gift shop has a huge selection of items, and a sweet couple running it.
Another beautiful home in the area, but this one is quite unique. Not to far out of the way at all, and worth driving by. Would love to see the inside, but not an option, yet.
Took a 1 hour tour of the area with Mike. He was very personable and knowledgeable. The trolly was comfortable too. Bought and paid for our tickets online, but if the trolly isn't full, you can pay the driver on the spot and hop on.
Great viewing spot directly across the water, with parking. The last, lightly colored building in the left was for the secret service.
