The hotel is located at exit 172. It is in the back corner in an area full of hotels, restaurants and gas stations. It has interior room entries. The front parking lot is very small. There was more parking in the back of the hotel. A Cracker Barrel is within walking distance. There is also a Waffle House and McDonalds. There were other restaurants as well.There was a gaggle of people in the room next to and adjacent to me. They had a small yippy dog too, but I didn't hear anything that night. The room was neat and clean with a comfortable bed. I slept great. It had the usual flat screen TV, free wi-fi, iron with ironing board, refrigerator and microwave. The tub is nice and deep, but the usual length. The breakfast room is really small, so there was some traffic getting breakfast. There was only one table for two and three tables for four. Hot eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. There was a waffle maker with two flavors. There was also pre-peeled hard-boiled eggs, cereal, breads/pastries and yogurt. I would stay here again.
I had a really nice stay. The hotel is located in the back of a big area of hotels off the highway, so you cannot hear any traffic. This hotel is small, so there were not many guests and no one was noisey. If you are looking for a big continental breakfast selection in the morning, this is not the place to find it. The had a waffle maker, a couple of cereals and some mini muffins. There was yogurt and the usual coffee, tea and orange juice. No fresh fruit or anything like that. It was still nice. There is a Burger King within walking distance and a Waffle House a short drive away if you prefer. The only reason this hotel did not receive a five is because the room smelled like smoke when I asked for a non-smoking room. My guess is someone smoked in it at one point and the smell is lingering. They tried to cover it up with a peppery fragrance, but the smell still poked through. Other than that, the staff is really nice and the room was very comfortable and clean despite the smell. I would stay here again.
