Enjoyed our day here. It was interesting to hear about a group of people we hardly heard f before. It was a easy going tour and we enjoyed just strolling around and learning little details of the lives they lead.
Tough hike but loved where it took us. Well worth the work. Up stairs on the side of the mountain. Into a crack in the rock. You will love where you end up.
Carly our guide was very well spoken and informative. She kept us entertained as well as the children on out tour. The trails could have been a little clearer. like where they inter -twine with or split apart again could be marked better. Still it was a great hike.
Loved the tour. We learned and had fun at the same time. Our guide was a cool young man who kept us entertained.
Be sure to contact the Historical Society before you drive out there. It is a set an appointment type place. Having said that it is worth it if you are into the beginnings of an area.
Take the time to listen to the ladies in the spinning room! They are very entertaining and made the day. The gentleman in the store let you hold the muskets and gave a good understanding of the weapons. They were captivating with the stories they told.
The historical actors were very knowledgeable and pointed out some really interesting details. We are into construction and loved seeing the old ways of building.
We had a good time. The museums are perfect for children, they are not so big that you lose interest. We found the building at different deconstructive stages very interesting. The walking was easy and lovely.
Informative and moving to think about how many people were lost here. We were there while a storm was off in the distance. The low roar of thunder made it feel like the cannons were still firing.
Very informative! Many people do not hear abut this part f the civil war. A must see if you are into understanding the Civil War.
