We pulled into this treasure because of the "outstanding" in its name and thought, "why not??" We used our Every Kid in a Park Pass to get in for free even though it ended up being well worth the $7 entry fee. The black rock beach was beautiful and made the most amazing sound as the tide came in. There were seals floating in the water, and WHALES SO CLOSE TO THE SHORE! We just couldn't get enough of the whales. We did a quick walk around the lighthouse because our time was limited but tours were free with tickets from the visitor center. The Visitor's center was helpful and had wonderful little exhibit area that was even interactive for the kids. If we're ever in this area again, we'll definitely be back.
