For $100 per night, this place is pretty amazing. They have a heated pool in a heated room. Decent breakfast included. Close to the turnpike. Clean and comfy sheets! We came on a Friday and they made cookies and delivered them to our room. Another time, we came on a sleepy Sunday and they upgraded our room for free without us asking. This is a great stop between our home in Chicago and our family on the east coast. We WILL be back again.

A decent stopping point between Chicago and Ohio. Gives the kids something to look forward to. Can they guess what kind of soup it is before they get there?

This place is fantastic. We stopped here as a 2-hr excursion coming down the ohio turnpike. It is not far from the highway.

The lake includes campgrounds (sites available with electrical hookups) and 2 yurts for rent. We did not stay the night, but my family enjoyed the shallow swimming area and the picnic shelter. There is a place to rinse off te sand from the 150-ft beach and bathrooms available.

Would have loved to explore the 3 miles of trail that seems to encircle this gorgeous lake.

Very beautiful, clean home and extremely comfortable beds. The home is over 100 years old, restored to maintain the charm but include modern amenities. The inn is located in a gorgeous area: along a river that runs through the mountains. Just the drive there provides a scenic detour.

I stayed with my husband and two small children for about $140 in the Rosemary room (bed+pull-out couch and jacuzzi). The house is kid-friendly. The yard and the front porch offer nice sitting areas. There is free access to laundry. You have your run of the kitchen.

My one complaint is that the breakfast is not fresh. There is fresh fruit, but store-bought muffins and cereal are the main entree.

Visited Old Man's Cave with two children ages 3 & 5. The cave and the falls at this location were beautiful. Very cool to walk on the riverbed. We went for a short hike toward the lake and saw a very interesting millipede. There were a variety of trails, shorter and longer. There are bathrooms and a picnic area with BBQ pits. Was kinda surprised there were not more trash cans in the picnic area.

Clean room, clean bathroom, good breakfast, good service, easy to get to. They could update their interiors.
