This is such a lovely KOA! We stayed in the kabins and were so happy with our entire experience.

Everything is so clean and well tended to.

The rec hall is this fun 50's theme, and it's so well kept and clean and fun for our big kids (10, 11 and 13).

We checked in at about 2am and everything was waiting for us in the late check in box. And the AC was already running in our Kabin when we got here, so everything was nice and cool and ready for sleep.

There are big trees surrounding by the entire property, so lots of beauty and shade!

The only con is a hat it's a little close to a busy highway. Not dangerously close (for kids or pets) but it is a little loud. It didn't bother me at all, we sleep with a sound machine app on my phone turned on, but I thought it warranted mentioning.

We would definitely stay here again!

We honestly had the BEST day!

The rides were so fun for my tweenage boys, the views of the lake on either side of the park were exceptional.

I was amazed by how clean the park was!

We bought a meal plan, and in retrospect, it's the one thing I wouldn't do again. They limit the places you can visit with the meal plan, and dollar for dollar, because they only include the less expensive options on the plan, unless you are going to spend the entire day eating and not riding rides, you're not going to get your money's worth from the plan. Dollar for dollar, it would have been much more affordable for my family of 5 to just pay for our meals as we went and nix the plan.

Get the funnel fries, because YUM.

A highlight of our day was the xtreme wheels show! We never go to shows at amusement parks, but this one was so rad. Our kids (and my husband and I) loved it so much that we went twice!

We went on a summer weekday. As we walked up, I thought, "uh oh!" There were SO MANY PEOPLE entering the park! But it's so big that once we were inside, everyone spread out and the crowds tray weren't bad, AT ALL. It was so mellow and wonderful! Lines at some of the more popular coasters were still 45 min long. But we bought the fast lane plus wrist band and it was worth every one of the gazillion cents they charged us for it. (Granted, we made our kids pay half of the ticket upgrade price from their own money, because they were the ones who were so adamant about the fast passes, but I'm so glad they pushed! Those fast passes really made the day! We only had one day at the park, so paying a little—or a lot, ugh—extra to ensure that we got to squeeze everything in made sense.)

When we left the kids all said it was better than Disneyland and that it was one of their "favorite days ever!" (Though for little ones, mom still thinks Disney would come out on top.

We have all boys, ages 10, 21, and 13.

It's definitely one of the most run down KOA's I've ever stayed at. The staff was OK, but definitely not willing to go above and beyond in any way.

When we were there they were doing construction, so it was loud and everything was torn up. (Hopefully they're making improvements!)

Our Kabin was sweltering hot and the AC was on its last leg and couldn't cool it down sufficiently. We ended up having to go to Walmart to buy a fan, otherwise it would have been too sweltering to sleep.

The laundry facility was tiny and dirty. The washers and dryers did the job, but they're ancient and definitely on their last leg.

They advertised a basketball court, but they'd torn it all up.

The kids liked the fact that the rec room sold ice cream. But the staff were rude to the kids, so this pro ends up being kind of a wash. Ha!

The showers weren't horrible. They were clean, ish.

The big pro this KOA has going for them is their proximity to Cedar Point Amusement Park! Thus I'm being generous and giving two stars. But we would never stay there again.
