Good spot to stop for either a quick hike (like we did) or to stay a day. They have cute cabins for rent and canoes, paddle boats, and kayaks for rent. The trail around the lake is pretty overgrown and eroded in spots but still visible and easy enough to follow.
No dogs allowed. Cannot rate because we weren’t able to visit the reserve but it sounds like it would be a good place to visit and learn about the history of the area.
Really cool piece of history. We did not have much time to explore because we arrived too late but I can say it would definitely be worth a stop!
Clean bathrooms. A nice little stop to stretch and there is a beach area that looks like it would be nice in the summer. Has camping and picnic areas as well
This was a perfect stop off the highway to stretch and play with the dog. It was very nice and clean.
