AS SEEN IN HOMEWARD BOUND FYI
It's closed during the fall and winter for the bats that inhabit the cave!
Technically free, but do consider making a small donation to keep this place alive and well!
The pier is open to explore but the lighthouses are privately owned and closed to visitors. Awesome for pictures though!
While the beach is free to visit, you will have to pay a fee to enter Jekyll Island. It's about $6. You can hang out and explore the island as long as you want for the entrance fee, though!
It says "FREE", and it is, but this doesn't include the admission you'll have to pay to get onto Jekyll Island. I think it's about $6 per car. Not bad at all.
Their summer hours go much longer than their winter hours, so if you're visiting in the off-season, call ahead or check online to make sure you've got the right times.
It's at the KOA, but anyone can mine for gems, and it's only open from April 1-November 1. They say to call ahead for hours.
They're open from April to October!
This is a fantastic campground where you can see over 20 miles on a clear day, it's a gorgeous drive to and from the campground. The sites are clean and the bathrooms are also well maintained too.
