Curry Hammock is a beautiful small state campground. It is clean with an excellent bathhouse.
There’s power and water, with one dump station. We were in site 13 and had the most fantastic view of the ocean (note: because of dune grass you don’t see the ocean when seated - but have amazing views when standing or from inside your RV). We stayed 4 nights. There is a beach, but during our time here it really wasn’t usable for sunbathing because of sea grass deposits (drive a little down the road into Marathon and go to Sombrero beach, which is ideal for sunbathing). However we used our kayak every day we were here (you can rent them if you don’t have your own) and going through Mangrove Tunnel is a MUST, as is kayaking out to the sand bar and walking along it. The campsites are very hard packed gravel and level (didn’t need any leveling). The campground hosts were extremely friendly. We were here in July (2023) and of course it was HOT, but cooled down so we could sit outside at night. We weren’t really impacted by mosquitoes either, which was nice. Overall, and gem of a campground and we would return!
