Lewies is said by many to have the best burgers in South Dakota and it sure tasted true when I went! Add to that scrumptious claim a fun, quirky decor and a colorful crowd, and youre in for a good night!
Awesome burgers, fun ambiance, colorful crowd! Boondocks Retro Pit Stop is a nice stop if you are going US385 toward a day at the lake (psst, there is Pactola and Sheridan, but also nice, smaller but closer Robaix Lake, too, that could be a nice stop after or before your burger at Boondocks!)
Those dinosaurs have such a quirky, old fashioned quality, they are totally worth the detour. Plus, you'll get an awesome view of Rapid City and, on especially clear days, of the Black Hills and sometimes as far as the Badlands!
Beautiful sanctuary and a truly inspiring story behind the project! Talk to the family who owns the place - it'll be well worth your time as they are very passionate!
