I went to Las Pozas in with a very limited knowledge of Edward James. I saw the article on the Roadtrippers website and also knew that I was going to Mexico for a month in December of last year. I stayed for a few days at a hotel in La Ciudad Valles and hired a guide from MS Xpediciones who described to a small group of us in great detail the history of Edward James and how Las Pozas came to exist. The area, along with the entire eastern portion of the San Luis Potosí state has a strange and unique stillness and beauty beauty that I could only understand by being there and will leave it to the visitor to find out. It was a monumental experience that exceeded my expectations.
