My family and friends are owners in the Marriott Vacation Club and we're seriously unimpressed. We've seen a lot of Marriott properties. The listed prices on this one are outrageous for what you get. Thankfully we booked with hotels.com because it was last minute booking or we be slapping ourselves. The area is ok with lots of shopping but extremely contested. Luckily the hotel is tucked back in a quiet area away from the main road. The hotel lay-out is flat and quite a walk to anything. The courtyard is closed and being reconstructed, so is unavailable. The pool area is really nice. The pool is a great temperature and very clean but the chlorine content was a bit much drying out my skin and burning my eyes after one use. The room was the biggest disappointment. While its decorated nicely and the beds are extremely comfortable, there were none of the conveniences that "cheaper"hotels along our way have had. They provided no channel guide, no microwave, and cheap Styrofoam cups instead of coffe mugs. The hotel is ok at the discount price but under NO circumstance should anyone pay the listed price. We were looking forward to staying in extra comfort after hitting many different hotels along our long journey and Courtyard failed meet the expectations set by its own description.
