These are the nicest rooms you're going to get in Cove.My mother has come in and stayed in the older hotels in Cove, so I'm confident in stating these are the nicest. We used them for a night between when the movers rolled out and we did. The only problem is the lack of pet acceptance. Really, it was fine. We left the boys in the empty house overnight, but that won't work everywhere.

The room was small and could have used some refurbishment. The latter part is funny, because by the time I got there (we're moving, with two vehicles and my husband made it sooner than I did with animals and child in tow), my husband - one of the most mellow, hard to perturb people I know, was still in a rage about how indignant the front desk seemed that we were bringing in animals. "The room better look perfect when you leave". Really? Why advertise as pet friendly if you're going to check someone in with a witchy attitude and snarky comments? If we hadn't already committed to a reservation, he would have left.

The wifi was godawful. If you need a connection to actually work for doing much more than checking your mail....slowly, skip this place. We've stayed in 5 hotels in as many days and this is the only one that I can honestly say I would actively avoid if I had to make the trip back through this corridor.

Here's the thing - this is a budget hotel, so when I give it 5 stars, I want you to keep that in context. We were driving the long way, moving from TX to WA. We didn't want to deal with the bad weather up in the mountains, so we drove across I-10 to I-5. Our second night, after 10+ hours of driving, we stopped here and stayed in one of the suites. This is a hidden gem of Palm Springs. The "room" is huge. It's two stories, with a nice living area/kitchenette/patio area downstairs and the two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. After the glorified closet we stayed in, with pets, in Las Cruces, NM, the night before, it was nice to have a little room to stretch when we got there. I'm sorry I didn't think to take any photos, but sufficed I had smaller apartments as a young adult. It doesn't have the spas and fancy "stuff" people go to Palm Springs for, but if you're passing through town or want to spend less on accommodations to spend more on other stuff - stay in one of these suites. We were VERY impressed.
