Received an extra $250 charge on my credit card statement. No explanation or notice. Took 3 emails to get a response, said I tampered with smoke detector and smoked in the room. Provided a photo of the smoke detector covered in plastic.
The room had a musty smell but did not smell like smoke. Told them they had the wrong room or it was another guest. We were only in the room for 9 hours. My wife and I do not smoke. Filed a dispute with credit card company which was denied.

I'm leaving one star for this experience. If this never happened, would leave three stars.
