This park is not in a great area and there aren’t things to do there. No playground. I go to this park to take pictures of a car when I need a nice open area. In the summer, there are soccer and football practices and games. There often a lot of questionable people sitting in cars by themselves, perhaps meeting to buy or sell services or items. You may also find questionable people by the creek fishing or just trying to find a private area. This is where we put our kayaks in the creek sometimes.
In summary, it can be a pretty, open space, but maybe not the safest.
What a stunning place! It was a long drive through the mountains, but once you arrive, it is worth every minute! It was getting dark and we weren’t sure we would make it in time, but the evening clouds added to the amazement of it all and the pictures were stunning. I wish we had more time to explore, but even just the hour we had was worth it.
If you have a huge camper, you may not want to try this one. There are narrow passes and you might have to turn around or get stuck backing down the roads. My pictures should help see the narrow spaces.
Mount Lemon was absolutely beautiful. It was a long windy drive to the top but the hike and the views were amazing. The trails were rocky and steep and it was a fun trail if you are into that kind of “off road” trails. There were plenty of other trails that could’ve been more smooth walking, but I’m super glad we made the trip. There was a day use money collection and I think it was about $8 for the carload. Well worth it to me. There was about 75 percent shade where we hiked.
This was not where navigation lead me. I could not find it and no locals even knew what it was. I was disappointed because I really wanted to find it.
This little campsite was outstanding. Prices were good and the sites aren’t on top of each other. There were still several sites left when we pulled in around 8pm. The restrooms are nice - no showers or electric, but I would definitely recommend this campground. Nice and scenic and few minutes drive to the most spectacular views in Bryce!
