Convenient location near many chain restaurants and fast food. Staff was pleasant but the free breakfast was the same as all others. Our room was large and in order however it could do with a thorough cleaning and some repairs (outlet plates and towel hooks loose, stained carpet and shower). Also the fold out couch mattress needs replacing - unable to sleep on it. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. If you like high end hotels this is not the one for you.
Great stay right on the lake. Hotel has beach access and has bike and watercraft rentals. Hotel is also walkable distance to Paul Bunyan and Babe statues. Onsite restaurant is also very good.
Unfortunately our stay was too short to enjoy all this resort has to offer. Cozy cabins that bring to mind summer camp. The hostess was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Very close to The Soudan Mine.
Nice little stop in Two Harbors. Can walk out to the lighthouse on the break wall. Can also walk along the shoreline and find many cool stones. There is also a boat ramp.
Nice quick stop heading towards or coming from the Soudan Mine. There is a steam locomotive with several cars that have been restored which you can walk around in plus a homestead cabin, playground and historical society museum. There is also a monument to William McKinley.
Still closed when we passed through.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Able to accommodate a family of five who arrived in the late evening without difficulty and at a great rate for a huge room. Room was very clean and kids were happy.
