We left the Clarion to come here. The Clarion was rundown. The comfort inn was new, great welcoming staff, coffee tea in lobby. Clean comfortable room. Quiet, great stay average breakfast. Would stay again based on customer service.
Small zoo, parking is free and in lot to the side of the zoo. Animals seem taken care of, it’s clean, and not expensive to get into. We saw otters, serval, tamarin, and other small scale animals. Worth a stop for a quick hour tour.
Great place to visit and learn. Thought 2 hours would be enough time for street parking. Our car got ticketed. There was a lot down the street, should have parked there. The tour guide was great telling the history of the parts of the prison she showed us. Hard to believe what prisoners went through here. We spent around 3 hours here and didn’t see it all.
I stopped here thinking it was a thrift store but was surprised by the high prices, locked display cabinets and high end items for sale. Did not purchase anything and wouldn’t go back. Not my kind of thrift store. More of an antique store. I felt it was a misleading title of thrift.

Long wait time. I was pretty excited to try the homemade donuts, but not overly impressed by them. The chocolate glaze had a chewy texture like the dough was overworked. The breakfast was good, home fries were not browned or seasoned so pretty bland. The eggs were very good and coffee was good. The prices were high. 2 Congdon specials with coffee and small juice cost around 45$ with tip. The service was excellent.
