Incredibly nice staff, clean bathrooms, hot showers, right in the middle of town- short walk to everything. Great area, did not feel unsafe at all. We reserved a tent site for the night, and were extremely pleased with the site, facilities and over all establishment. The prices are beyond reasonable- 100% recommend!

We were just passing through and needed a place to crash for the night- anywhere would do, we were so exhausted. And oh my goodness were we surprised when we got to this place. Affordable price, just down the road from horseshoe bend, CLEAN, comfortable, great water pressure and hot shower, flat screen tv with nice channels, mini fridge.. I’m stunned. After traveling 300 miles, this was a treat! Had an absolute amazing nights rest. Certainly recommend.
The only “negatives” that I could imagine anyone whining about would be that the furniture is basic and you need to ask for any soap if you need it. Had a great stay, 100% recommend!

Let me just say that I don’t stay in hotels often, but when I do it’s usually a Days Inn because they are cheap; however, I know to mentally prepare myself for the dilapidated roach motel that awaits me. So when I rolled up to this one for a place to crash for the night during my road trip to Arizona, I could not believe it was a Days Inn. It was no Hilton by any stretch.. but oh my goodness it was so CLEAN!! The floors were not carpeted, major plus, and were neatly swept and mopped. The tub and toilet was not disgusting at all and showering was an enjoyable experience because of the cleanliness and the great water pressure. There was a nice flat screen TV, a microwave and coffee maker. All of the outlets worked and the lights/lamps as well.
The bed was not bad at all and the sheets and pillows were clean, crisp and cozy.
Would 100% recommend this to anyone passing through Las Cruces! Right next to the interstate, clean, and affordable. Plus, free breakfast. Even during Covid.

As a foodie, road trips are difficult because picking a place to eat is such a toss up. I don’t want to waste my money on mediocre food. I would rather just eat a familiar tasting fast food burger that I know what to expect when I eat it. However, while I passed through San Antonio I really wanted to eat something flavorful and delicious. This posed as a challenge however, since my boyfriend is a “selective eater” and doesn’t like “weird” food- he likes to keep it simple. Our compromise was BBQ, which is something we both enjoy. Smoke Shack fit the bill perfectly! The food is classic BBQ with phenomenal flavor!!! He and I are both picky when it comes to Mac and cheese, but omg this place was so die for and their Mac and cheese was heaven. We both got the pulled pork sandwich, such a solid sandwich. MMMMM! At the time of writing this (Sept 2020) you had to wear a mask while in line, but could take it off once you got to your table.
Family friendly atmosphere. Super laid back and relaxing in there. Incredible food. Yummy sweet tea (were from the south- Georgia. We know good sweet tea). If you like BBQ and are looking for a great place to eat while you’re in San Antonio exploring,10/10 recommend. Enjoy!

The Original Cafe Du Monde-
Absolutely a must see! This is now my third time traveling through and stopping here. It is nestled in the French quarter beside Jackson Square where you can hear lovely jazz music. It has outdoor seating, so it’s a perfect place to cool off and enjoy some beignets. This establishment is cash only, so be prepared. And please tip the workers at the counter. :]
At the time of writing this (Sep 2020) masks must be worn while in line, but you may take them off once you are seated.
Pro Tip: even though the signs say “Wait to be seated,” there are three lines where you can order from and then you seat yourselves. So don’t be afraid to stand in the shortest line. Be safe and enjoy NOLA!
