I think we were absolutely laughable to the attendant when we just wanted a round trip on the incline, and I think the commuters who use it every day probably have grown blind or bored of the sights on the way up and down. We couldn't fit more of Pittsburgh into our trip, but the Monongahela would've have been a great start to a public transit tour of the city.
Definitely worth the stop and a few hours dedicated to the town and the mine. Our guide, Marvin, was awesome and expertly addressed silly and serious question a like.
Rotier's is packed with nicknacks, pictures, memorabilia and excellent food. The service is warm and friendly; it is the perfect destination for a great meal when you don't want to just pull off the highway and eat just anywhere.
Beautiful rooms, worth the price - which was a splurge for us. With the courtyard and the park across the street you'd never know you were in downtown Atlanta. Excellent!
As a history nut, I could not pass this up and it is truly impressive. I thought the admission cost was worth it, the collection of paintings inside is wonderful and the statue of Athena is astounding!
