My husband and I stayed in a room with a queen bed in May, 2023. Our stay was very comfortable - especially recognizing that this is a “value” motel. Our room, including tax, was about $93 whereas the chain hotels in the area were running at least $135 plus tax for the same night. (About 5 nights before the Kentucky Derby, so a busy time).
Our main criteria for hotel stays include: (1) comfortable bed (but note that the beds at the Bluegrass Inn, while comfy, are high (esp for shorties like me, 5’4”!); (2) safety. We felt secure in our room, and we were comfortable having our car parked in the lot behind us; and (3) cleanliness. Many features in our room, such as the flooring appeared to be new or at least new-ish. Housekeeping had done a great job. Good tv reception, free wi-fi. Great job, Bluegrass Inn!
Plus, free continental breakfast (hot waffle maker and syrup), bagels, toast, pastries, apples, cereals, juices, coffee/tea.
Free parking. Pleasant staff.
We would absolutely stay here again when in the area.
