I was shocked to be one of the reviews from someone back in 2021 when they spoke so negatively about the owners. This is a darling couple in their late 80s and 90s who are still operating a farm and have segmented off part of their property right next to the river for five campsites. Dry camping; no services whatsoever, no Wi-Fi, and the cell service is a bit spotty (we have a verizon), but I wouldn’t change a thing. Just need to change your expectations… This is not a “campground“; this is a very special spot on the earth that these people have generously allowed folks like us to stay for very little money. In nature! We reserved for three days and feel so rested and rejuvenated. It doesn’t get much more beautiful or cleaner than this. And the road noise is basically nonexistent; you can’t hear it because the river rushing downs it out. Mesmerizing! Thank you Gordon and Jeanna!!

We are van campers and don’t usually stay in places like this. But this one was exceptional in every way; very large campsites, incredibly well managed and clean… we noticed many families enjoying themselves with all the incredible activities and amenities they have provided. But the best part is its location. It is like being straight out of a movie. We drove all the way from San Diego California to see this little town and were thrilled to have found this campground. Highly recommend it.

Great location but poor experience. Checkout was 11am, and as we were preparing to pull out, a staff member came up to us and said “Are you leaving? It’s 11:00!” . No hello, no good morning, just rude and harsh. Bathrooms were closed, only two dirty shower rooms with overflowing trash cans. And this was the day before the long weekend! Overpriced for what it is. There are tons of state campgrounds within 5 miles that, had we known about the, were wouldve stayed there for half the price.

We paid nearly $60 for a beautiful spot only because it was late and we needed something but were charged $2.00 for a 4-minute shower (took awhile for the hot water to arrive). Who does that?? The area surrounding the entrance Ryu the Catherine was muddy too… no gravel, no landing outside the door, nothing. Way too much money for this.

Clean, flat parking and Mr Pierce (host and owner) is a true Southern gentleman. Very quiet, green, restful place. I just wish we had time to stay longer!

This is our second time staying here and we are already talking about when we will come again. Normally we don’t like staying at privately owned campgrounds but this one is an exception. First of all, it is in a surprisingly beautiful riverfront location; so interesting to watch the ships, rowing shells, and kayakers go by. secondly, the showers and bathrooms are meticulously maintained, there there is a laundry. Finally, the Wi-Fi is strong and included in the price.
We live in San Diego and it is a great “last stop“ that we look forward to before our final leg home.

The wonderful ranger Nick held a spot for us but when we arrived, we decided to check out the bathrooms and showers before nestling in. We were disappointed to find them to be quite dirty and so we moved on to Ocean Shores State Park, just a little bit further on down the road. The other thing we did not like about this park is that you have to go through the town and through a residential neighborhood to get to it; it did not feel like a real getaway

we absolutely loved this place; stayed two nights as it was so perfect for us. Wonderful hiking trails through the forest and down to cranberry Lake or out to the vast untouched beach. One of the most beautiful and relaxing places we have stayed in a long time. Very clean bathrooms and showers as well! Note: don’t listen to the complaints about the naval jets; it is part of the fabric of this part of Washington. When we heard them overhead, we heard the sound of freedom. They go over intermittently; if the noise bothers you for a few seconds at a time, bring earplugs. But just don’t miss this beautiful place!

We were so happy to stumble upon this incredible campground within a beautiful state park. The sites are all level, lots of privacy nestled in the forest, incredibly clean bathrooms and showers! The easy hike out to the vast and raw beach is well worth the time! We had no cell or Wi-Fi service which might be a problem for some; for us it was a bonus… Helps to completely unplug! Note: we are an active middle-aged couple traveling in self made Ford transit van. This place is incredible

Beautiful campground tucked in under the trees right on the coast. Many of the sites are not level but that’s fixable. Clean restrooms. Great spot. Note: no cell service.
