An easy-to-access lighthouse. Park pass not needed. Toilets available. A 15-minute stop on your itinerary.
Fabulous views! Worth the hassle of getting a reservation!
This was our favorite part of Acadia. We went back every day, at different tide-levels. The cliffs are fun to climb and explore, too. Great fun for family with three teens!
Beautiful beach, but the water is very cold. There are signs warning you about cold water temps. We chose to explore the shore a bit and continue southward along theOcean Path, which was way more fun for my teens.
Inexpensive, comfortable, helpful staff, close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
Just a 2-minute photo opp. Don’t drive out of your way.
With every penny! The hike was longer and steeper than we expected, but we made it through, even with my bum knee. And it was worth every step and every penny. Definitely one of the highlights of our NE adventure!
This place is a gem. A comfy and cute little cottage nestled along a rumbling river. A private fire pit on the river’s edge. Much to do nearby. Next time, we’ll stay several nights instead of the single night on our way through!
This ain’t much of a state park. We went in July, 2023 and found a closed, dirty beach with few people and views no better than from the road. They let us in for free due to the beach being closed for e-coli.
A state park that feels more like a national park. Beautiful. Lots to do.
