This was so amazing! To see the names of all the workers and to think of the skill that went into carving this memorial. I was surprised at the walk of flags commemorating each states' year of admission to the Union. The whole experience made us pinch ourselves to say "Look, we are seeing Mount Rushmore!"

It is NOT free admission. Parking per vehicle is $11 and no National Park pass will get you out of it. Still worth it. And if you plan to come back, the parking pass is valid for the rest of the year.

Beautiful view of the Linwood area of Glenwood Springs. It would have been nice to understand before we stopped that it was not just 3 blocks off the main Inst 70 but rather a vigorous uphill climb for a half mile. Nonetheless, glad we climbed it.
