I stayed at "Thanks Dad" with my entire family. Grandparents, kids and grandchildren. The house is spacious, well-laid out and is located in a nice area. Generally speaking the house satisfied all the requirements of what really is a pretty high end house.

The house came equipped with a nice pool, which everyone enjoyed. We also were able to use beach chairs and toys that were in the garage. My nephews very much liked the pool table.

Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. Early in the week it became clear that none of the audio visual components worked. The "great room" system was completely nonfunctional. There was a note that we should refer to the "instruction card," which did not exist. It also said to use the Harmony universal remote, which did not work at all. On the main floor system, it also referred to a universal remote which did not exist. When I was finally able to get someone from Paramount to take a look, they were able to get the TV to work in the great room, but said they needed to call the audio visual company to come the next day to get the DVD/outdoor speakers to work. Nobody came, so I followed up with Paramount who assured me that they would get someone to call me back. They didn't. The next day I complained again, and they finally sent an audio visual person the following day, who told me that the entire system was faulty, was missing components and that there was no way it would work by the end of our trip. Very sad. The only TV that could play a DVD in the entire house was a built-in player on a 12" TV in one of the bedrooms. Very disappointing.

Another issue that arose was cleanliness. On the surface the house appeared to be very clean, but clearly the details were being overlooked. In our bathroom, the upper rim of the toilet was, for lack of a better work, gross. I told Paramount about this, they said they would send a cleaning crew to clean the bathroom. They didn't.

After I returned from our trip, I called and spoke with Rocky from Paramount, who was very unhelpful. Despite the multiple complaints we made during the week, and their failure to follow up when they promised, Rocky said that they complied with all of their obligations. When I reminded him about the toilet and how nobody came to fix it, he asked me to "provide paperwork" proving I complained. Is he kidding?

Hoping they finally fixed the audio/visual for the people staying after we left. Very disappointing.
