It has a different name now and isn’t a place where most travelers would stay, but it’s fun to see the setting of the movie!

Totally gone! After 20+ years, they closed last year. The building is empty.

If you join the Illinois Route 66 Association, you may be able to join the official Route 66 tours, including actually driving over the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge in a caravan! Very, very cool!
