Portsmouth Abbey is a community of Benedictine monks on Narragansett Bay.

The monks run schools attached to their monasteries and look after 27 small parishes and mass centers near them.

You are invited to join them for a respite of prayer, work, rest, and recreation. They offer visits to men aged 18-50 who would like to get a taste of monastic life before deciding to answer the call.

During your stay, you will share the life of the monks, including prayer, spiritual reading, manual labor, daily conferences, exercise and rest.

The Abbey is also a working farm. Abbey Farms is unique. "guests step back in time a few years". They offer something a little different than other farms – no haunting themes, no electronic games, no gimmicks, just clean old-fashioned outdoor fun for everyone. They offer three seasons of fun for all; Produce in the summer, Pumpkin Daze in the fall and Christmas trees in the Winter.
