The Utah parks are fabulous. The Arches timed-entry worked well for us. We had an hour window, waited in line at 8 AM for 30 minutes. Spent the day touring the park. We found parking at all of the spots we stopped to view and take pictures. Many hikers and trails to explore. The visitor’s center is very interesting and had usable, interesting and made in USA items which is important to us.
Lovely clean, new hotel in downtown Moab. Four mile drive to Arches.
Stopped here to check out this National Park! We were there during a drier period so walkways and trails were easily maneuvered. The boardwalk trails are well-maintained and accessible for anyone. There are benches along the boardwalk to sit rest or turn around if you wish a smaller walk. The quietness of this park was outstanding! NP office and gift store staff were friendly and informative. Worth a visit if you like an off-the beaten path wander. Picnic tables available, pack a snack and water and savor the marsh life!
Explored CW for several days and totally enjoyed our time. We had a friend who lives there and actually did our tour! We did purchase tickets for a special Thomas Jefferson and Jupiter plus music presentation on the grounds of the Governor’s Place which was delightful. We also took in a presentation given by young George Washington and wife Martha portraying a snippet of their lives and the issues of the day. The actors delivering both of these presentations was well-done and gave perspective. Many of the taverns and historical shops were closed but, they offered a reduced price ticket. Much can be experienced openly however, I believe we learned a great deal by the events for which we paid. Williamsburg itself is a pretty, clean and well-maintained city. Carefully check out your hotel as there are many group tours and some hotels need serious upgrading.
Stayed here four night while visiting Williamsburg. At this time it is not up to Hilton standards in my opinion. Needs some serious upgrades. Staff seemed to work hard with what they have been dealt, but no reception and much too much non recyclables and packaged process foods.
Amazing park for the off the beaten path adventurers. Cliff jumping into Lake Michigan, who couldn’t love this local fun!
Very clean, comfortable Hampton Inn. Ate dinner at The Grits Cafe which was outstanding.
Clean friendly stay minutes to downtown. Try The Grits Cafe, unique delicious dining.
