Our trip to the beach was great. First we went to the normal beach side of the park, then we went to the camping side. We found that the camping side was much closer to the beach but we also found out that space is limited on the camping side and you're supposed to have a camping spot to temporarily park at the beach access near the campsites.
There were no mosquitos near the beach but the path to the beach was swarming with mosquitos so much so that we had to run on our way back to the car. We used the showers on the boardwalk which helped with the mosquitos and sand.
The water was much warmer than we expected but we're from Alaska so everything is warmer than what we're used to.
I would recommend bringing something for mosquito bites and don't forget an umbrella or something for cover as well as a beach chair.
Overall the trip was great and I would recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy the beach.
