The cottage was cute and old, but not fit for sleeping in. Without insulated walls, it was very cold at night and the only way to keep it warm was to have an ancient and very noisy wall unit running non-stop. I'm assuming summer heat issues would be the same - be hot or awake with the A/C.It was a choice between not sleeping because of the cold or not sleeping because of the noise. Even if that was fixed, the mattress on the double bed was so old that my husband and I rolled into the middle. My poor parents were freezing on the day bed and roll-out, also terrible mattresses. The refrigerator doesn't work - so our breakfast yogurt and juice was warm. The old tube TV doesn't work. Obviously, investing part of the profits to actually provide guests with a good night's sleep are not part of this business. No hotel could legally provide such awful sleeping conditions, and this was much more expensive than a local hotel. Don't stay here if you actually want to sleep.
