This is a super good and well made exhibition showing items and stories from all of Americas great wars from the Civil War til Afghanistan. Also the section where American soldiers tell there little story about their service period is extremely interesting. There are a lot of things to look at inside the museum building, and outside you will find lots of vehicles to look at. If you are just a little interested in American war history, you should plan to spend several hours at this spot.
Be aware that the museum is on the Camp Ripley ground so you been to pass the check point to get there.

The is a very interesting place presenting the way Gunflint Train and surrounding waters was just for trading between Native Americans and English traders in the 18th century. All goods were transported both ways in canoes or carried on their backs. Exhibitions were well made and people working here were very interested in telling about the area.

This ship and the way they have arranged the guided tour was a very special experience. Walking around this huge ship meeting guides that actually worked on the very same ship when it was operating was a different way to learn about the life on the ship. The ship itself is very interesting to explore and it was all in all my best experience in Duluth.

Interesting historical spot, but there was unfortunately not much to see. Everything was overgrown so it was not possible to see remains of any historical buildings. But this is probably what happen when they try to reestablish the forest.
